Receive Signals from PagerDuty
Integration Overview
- Configure API Access for Zebrium in PagerDuty
- Create an PagerDuty Integration in Zebrium to Receive Signals from PagerDuty
- Add the Zebrium Webhook to PagerDuty
Integration Details
STEP 1: Configure API Access for Zebrium in PagerDuty
- From the Integrations menu, select API Access.
- Click the Create New API Key button.
- Enter a description (e.g. Zebrium Incident Detection).
- Ensure the Read-only API Key option is NOT selected.
- Click the Create Key button.
- Copy the API Key and save for later use when configuring Zebrium. It will not be visible in PagerDuty again.
STEP 2: Create an PagerDuty Integration in Zebrium to Receive Signals from PagerDuty
- From the User menu area in Zebrium, click on the Settings (hamburger) Menu.
- Select Integrations.
- Scroll to the Incident Management section and click on PagerDuty.
- Click on the Create a New Integration button.
- Click on the General tab.
- Enter an Integration Name for this integration.
- Select the Deployment for the integration.
- Select the Service Group(s) for the integration.
- Click on the Receive Signals tab.
- Click on the Enabled button.
- Enter the API Key created in STEP 1 above.
- Click the Save button.
- Copy the Webhook URL and save for use in STEP 3 and click OK.
STEP 3: Add the Zebrium Webhook to PagerDuty
- From the Integrations menu, select Generic Webhooks (v3).
- Click the + Add New Webhook button.
- In the WEBHOOK URL area, paste the Zebrium Webhook URL that was copied in STEP 2 when Configuring Access for PagerDuty In Zebrium.
- In the SCOPE TYPE pull-down, select Service
- In the SCOPE pull-down, select the desired service you want to add the Zebrium webhook to.
- Enter a DESCRIPTION (e.g. Zebrium Signal).
- In the EVENT SUBSCRIPTION check-box list, select incident.triggered ONLY (clear all other checkboxes)
- Click the Add Webhook button.
How to Uninstall
In PagerDuty
Disable API Access
- From the Integrations menu, select API Access.
- Click Disable or Remove on the desired API Access Key.
- Click the Save button after confirming you wish to proceed.
Delete Zebrium Integration
- From the User menu area in Zebrium, click on the Settings (hamburger) Menu.
- Select Integrations.
- Scroll to the Incident Management section and click on PagerDuty.
- Click the Red X on the desired Zebrium integration.
- Click the OK button after confirming you wish to proceed.
