Receive Signals from Opsgenie

Integration Overview

  1. Configure API Access for Zebrium in Opsgenie
  2. Create an Opsgenie Integration in Zebrium to Receive Signals from Opsgenie
  3. Add the Zebrium Webhook to Opsgenie

Integration Details

STEP 1: Configure API Access for Zebrium in Opsgenie

  1. From the Settings tab, click on API key management in the left-hand navigation panel.
  2. Click the Add new API key button.
  3. Enter a name for the API (e.g. Zebrium Incident Detection).
  4. Enable Read Access and Create and Update Access (Delete Access can be disabled).
  5. Ensure Enabled is checked.
  6. Copy the API KEY and save for later use when configuring Zebrium.
  7. To view/manage your configured API Keys, from the Settings tab, click on API key management in the left-hand navigation panel.

STEP 2: Create an Opsgenie Integration in Zebrium to Receive Signals from Opsgenie

  1. From the User menu area in Zebrium, click on the Settings (hamburger) Menu.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Scroll to the Incident Management section and click on Opsgenie.
  4. Click on the Create a New Integration button.
  5. Click on the General tab.
  6. Enter an Integration Name for this integration.
  7. Select the Deployment for the integration.
  8. Select the Service Group(s) for the integration.
  9. Click on the Receive Signals tab.
  10. Click on the Enabled button.
  11. Select the Region of your Opsgenie portal.
  12. Enter the API Key created in STEP 1 above.
  13. Click the Save button.
  14. Copy the Webhook URL and save for use in STEP 3 and click OK.

STEP 3: Add the Zebrium Webhook to Opsgenie

  1. Go to Opsgenie Integration page and click the Zebrium integration to Modify or Add a new Zebrium Integration
  2. Make sure Send alert details to Zebrium for Opsgenie Alerts is enabled.
  3. In the Zebrium URL text box, paste the Zebrium Webhook URL from STEP 2.
  4. Click the Save Integration button.

How to Uninstall

In Opsgenie

Disable API Access

  1. From the Settings tab, click on API key management in the left-hand navigation panel.
  2. Click the trash can on the desired API Key.
  3. Click the OK button after confirming you wish to proceed.

Delete Zebrium Integration

  1. From the User menu area in Zebrium, click on the Settings (hamburger) Menu.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Scroll to the Incident Management section and click on Opsgenie.
  4. Click the Red X on the desired Zebrium integration.
  5. Click the OK button after confirming you wish to proceed.
